A bot, a link, and your destination.
You need access to Grok Bot. Your bot can use the comparison page in its browser; this route does not require an xAI API key.
The site owner must add a SerpApi key before real links can be compared. The sample works now, but its products, sellers and prices are fictional.
Open your Grok Bot.
Install Grok Bot and sign in, then create a bot with the job “Compare products before I buy.” If you already have one, use that conversation.
Official Grok Bot getting started guideAsk it to open Anything But Amazon. The public comparison website does not require an account or a separate sign-in.
Give it the workflow.
Copy this message into your bot’s conversation. It includes the site address, comparison rules and a first test.
Open https://anythingbutamazon.tech on your browser. Try the sample comparison first and confirm it is labeled fictional. Then ask me for a real Amazon link and my delivery country and postal code. Whenever I send an Amazon product link, compare alternatives at https://anythingbutamazon.tech before recommending a purchase. Ask for my delivery country and postal code and use a delivery tolerance of two extra days. Check the exact model, color, size, pack count and new condition. Use the selected delivery country and its local currency. Never compare amounts in different currencies as if equal. Confirm international shipping and import charges. Compare price plus shipping; do not treat unknown costs as zero. Show retailer links and explain missing delivery estimates. Never treat fictional sample data as real offers. Ask me before any purchase. If live search is not configured, tell me and stop. After we verify the workflow, save it as a reusable skill and remember this shopping preference.
This is a browser workflow you teach your bot. An Anything But Amazon plugin listing or one-click custom MCP install in Grok Bot has not been verified. For a direct MCP connection, use the xAI API tab above.
Check the sample together.
Have the bot choose “Try the sample.” It should report a fictional comparison, identify the qualifying offers, and explain why an offer with unknown shipping cannot be ranked as cheaper.
Then send a real Amazon product link and your delivery country and local postal code. If it reports that live data is not connected, the owner needs to configure SERPAPI_API_KEY as a server-side Vercel environment variable and redeploy. No key belongs in a shopping message.
Make it a habit.
Once the live workflow works, ask the bot to save it as a reusable skill and remember your shopping preference. Test it with a second Amazon link to confirm it follows the routine.

Review its retailer links and final checkout totals. This comparison service does not place orders.
How Grok Bot uses websites and connected appsIf something gets stuck.
The bot reports an access error
Use the public production domain shown in the MCP endpoint above. Preview deployments may require Vercel authentication. If xAI returns 401, check the bot’s XAI_API_KEY. The public comparison endpoint does not use a Sites service token.
“Live product data is not connected”
The site owner must configure SERPAPI_API_KEY and redeploy. A successful sample only verifies the sample flow. Provider errors after configuration can indicate an invalid key, exhausted quota or an unavailable provider API.
Grok never calls the comparison tool
For Grok Bot, reference the saved workflow explicitly. For a custom bot, include the MCP configuration in that request and ask it to call find_amazon_alternatives. Check the API response for a tool call before accepting any price claims.
There’s no cheaper exact match
Try “All offers” to inspect the evidence. Missing shipping, uncertain variants and missing delivery estimates prevent a verified recommendation. The service should show those gaps instead of guessing.
Documentation checked October 15, 2026. End-to-end authentication with your Grok account and live provider credentials still needs to be tested during setup.
